Mark you calendars! We are excited to present Art from the Heart (formerly known as the Cup-Half-Full), a pottery sale and painting party. This year’s community-wide gathering will again support play-based learning for the children at The Cooperative Playschool.
Community members and Co-op families and friends will gather in our traditional creative and friendly spirit to paint their own designs on a variety of ceramic items. The painting party will be held on Saturday, November 14th in two sessions: 10 – 12:30 pm and 1 – 3:30 pm.To add to the fun, we will also hold a bake sale and a book fair. Some lucky families will also win a door prize through our raffle.
Each painter will have their work of art professionally finished and ready to give as gifts. Our pottery supplier and local paint-your-own-pottery studio, 2000 Degrees, will glaze and fire each hand-painted ceramic. Your beautiful and functional artwork will be available for pick-up at the Coop on Friday, November 20.
Best of all, you’ll save money on gift-giving. The support provided by 2000 Degrees for our fundraiser allows us to price our finished items at a significant discount compared with an in-store purchase of the same piece of pottery. So start making a list of all your relatives and special friends who deserve a one-of-a kind gift this upcoming season.
Ordering is easy! You will find the order form and Paypal payment instructions will be on the Co-op website soon. Please help spread the word by printing and distributing a flyer.It’s wonderful to make art with those we care about. After all, this is Art From the Heart!
